Hi Experts,
I have created a Permit as in the below procedures.
1)In Transaction CL02 I have created a class with Class type 049 and assigned a characteristics. (Class- TestClass4)
2)In Transaction OIPG I assigned the new class to a Class Group. (Group-TT)
3)In Transaction OIST I have created a Permit category. (Category- Hot Work Permit)
4)In transaction IPMD I have created a Permit as shown in the below picture
Below are the my doubts:
1) Why we need to select class type as 049. When I used Class type- 002 (Equipment Class), That class its not displaying in F4 help in OIPG and IPMD transactions.
2) In OIPG - Can we assign any number of Classes to a Group? If so Where can I see the List of assigned Classes in a Group?
3) In IPMD - As in the picture, "Permit class" field shows only the latest class which created in CL02, also its not enable for change. why? How can we create permit for other classes.
4) The permit which created in CL02 will be assign to Technical object or to Mntc Order. Here What is the Role of Class Group and Permit category?
5) As a beginner I want to know what is the significance of Characteristics and Classifications in the permit and Technical object/Order?
